TODAY’S VERSE: JOHN 14:2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
REVELATION:
Is there a place for afterlife? I know it is not a delight question to ponder but it is an important one. In this day and age there are so many different opinions regarding what awaits us after death. Opinions are great but when it comes to matters of an afterlife, one should depend on more than opinion. One should believe on a person who has seen the afterlife. Today's verse is the very words of Jesus, assuring us of a place for afterlife.
As I read the verse I couldn't help but visualize how staggering that place must be by now. I mean it took Him only six days to create the heavens and the earth. Now it has been 2,000 years since He has gone to prepare that place. Can you imagine how wonderful that place must be? There is no place in this earth that can compare to the place that Jesus has for you and me. The place that Jesus is preparing for us is called Heaven.
You can think of the most wonderful place that you ever seen in this earth, and that would be nothing in comparison to Heaven. Few years ago, my family and I had an opportunity to visit Disney World. The place was magnificent; one area that stood out as one of the most wonderful place I ever seen was the Cinderella's Castle. Disney World was such a wonderful place to visit, and it was man made. Now if a man can make a place like that then Heaven must be a staggering place!
Dear Reader, I want to let you know there is a wonderful place awaiting you and me after death. Today's verse assures us Heavens is not just a concept, but it is a particular place. Jesus said, "I am going there to prepare a place for you". Heaven is being prepared with you and me in mind. I don't know about you, but I want to make sure I will get to that place that is being prepared for me. I don't want to end up in a place that is not prepared for me. So, the real question to ponder is how do you get there? The only requirement for entry is personal faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning death and resurrection. All you have to do is confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and one day He'll welcome you into that magnificent prepared place for you!
PRAYER:
My Heavenly Father thank You for caring for me. I thank You for all that You have done and You are doing for me, I know I am not deserving of any of this. I pray, You will guide me to live a life that is pleasing to You and thank You for preparing a place for me. In Jesus Precious Name, this I pray. Amen.
